The classic, Anne of Green Gables, has turns 100 years old this year. Anne and her stories have been favorites of mine since I was a little girl. Her story has never been out of print, and multiple TV movie adaptations have been based on it. The Deseret News said in an article today about the books,
"During the past century, Anne Shirley, also known as Anne of Green Gables, has inspired, amused and entertained countless kindred spirits everywhere. She has become one of the most beloved of all literary figures, passed down from mother to daughter and generation to generation."
Thanks to my mom for first introducing me to Anne, and to Lucy Maud Montgomery for creating such a lovable character.
Happy Birthday Anne!

So I'm leaving you a comment :) I think we should take a Saturday or Sunday and watch all the Anne of Green Gables. I'm sure Megan and Mom would love to as well. What do you think?
By the ways, Your friend Anna's husband Bob Bolster is from Corpus Christie right? I think his family was in the ward we served in on my mission. Small world.
